Monsoon has arrived once again. Its raining all around. Monsoon is there to rejuvenate every living things on the earth. Nature take best care of this lovely planet in this season which we normally miss to do. Nevertheless, its brings a lot of refreshment, fun and romance along with a gentle console over excruciating heat of summer. After every hot day there is a pray for a rainy day. For me, its a season which remains always exciting and I keep on waiting for it all round the year. The music of rainfall gives immense pleasure.
Believe me, in this season creativity is always there on its peak. You must have came across several poems, songs and beautiful paintings based on this awesome rainy season. I remember the soulful song by the ghazal maestro and the legend Late Jagjit Singh, Wo Kagaz Ki Kashti, Wo Barish Ka Pani...
Once, Mr Amitabh Bachchan has also quoted, "Jaane kahan gayee wo ameeri hamari, Jab Barish ke pani mein hamaare bhi jahaaz chala kartey the". And, when it comes about the paper boats it really makes me nostalgic and takes me back to the days of childhood. Gone are the days, when we were thrilled just from the name of rain and had a lot of fun during the season.
Film makers in bollywood had greatly cherished the rainy season with their extreme level of imaginations. I am listing below few songs of bollywood which are great examples of an unique combination of hot and wet. I am sure, the steam of this combo will take you away into another world of ecstasy and joy. Who can forget the evergreen song of Aawara filmed on Raj Kapoor and Nargis "Pyaar Hua Iqraar Hua Hai, Pyaar Se Phir Kyun Darta Hai Dil".
Or, a great sensual yet seducing song "Ang Lag Jaa Baalama" in another Raj Kapoor movie "Mera Naam Joker" picturised on Raj Kapoor and Padmini, makes you feel the warmth of the steam coming out of these chilling droplets. Its seducing, its superb, its really very very hot.
"Rimjhim Gire Saawan, Sulag Sulag Jaaye Mann" the lyrics itself describes the romance and sensuousness about the rainy season and its impact. Romantic Amitabh and lovely Mausami featured this song and each word of the song is enough to turn you on and capable to let you feel the shower of lovely droplets on you.
And when it comes to kindle the fire from the squirting rainy drops, Sridevi rules on the hearts while "Kaatey Nahin Katatey Ye Din Ye Raat" in Mr. India. This is the mighty power of rain which ignites the fire of love unanimously.
Finally, I can't stop myself or can't conclude without mentioning the naughty yet romantic yet seducing act of sizzling Smita Patil along with amazing Amitabh Bachchan in Namak Halal while the song "Aaj Rapat Jaayen To Hamein Na Bachaiyo". Several years have gone to these movies and the songs but, whenever a rainy season comes people start humming these melodies spontaneously.
Till now the charm for rains in bollywood is as alive as it was earlier. Still, rain songs are there in hindi movies and leaves the same impact. So, what's there in your mind. Which song are you humming now? Are you also getting naughty now?
